My name is Mattias, Im 23 years old and I live in Östersund, Sweden.
The best way to describe me is a down to earth and content guy, greatly passionate about visual creation, who for the past four years have been devoting all my time and energy towards design and various digital artforms.
I started out with the goals of becoming a concept artist, but later on I completely fell for 3D modeling and everything it involves. Since then I've been practicing this craft fulltime, with the hopes of being able to provide for myself by doing what I truly love.

WHY HIRE ME?
I mainly do modeling and texturing, but I also have a great understanding of animation, rigging, lightning and other aspects which are involved in a production.
This means that I always during a project reflect upon the upcoming step of the process.
For example, here is a simple 3D model with the necessery loops and polygon distribution to handle morphing and extensive rigg-animation.
I'm also well aware of mapping techniques that can be handy to improve the look of a 3D model. By using maps for specularity, gloss, bump and ambient occlusion I gain greater control of the models look, aswell as giving me the ability to create a realistic look on a low-poly mesh.
In the spring of 2015 I finished a University education in information design, where I learned all the core foundations of shape, anatomy, light, color and so forth. I also studied a variety of courses such as 3D modeling, 2D and 3D animation, interactive design, website layout, organic and industrial illustration and lots more.
The primary focus during the education was how to deliver the relevant information in a way that suits the target audience.
All of this makes me a handy guy in many areas of a production pipeline.
During the winter of 2014 I did an internship at Stopp Family VFX Studio in Stockholm, which is one of Swedens most successful VFX studio. During this period I collaborated on the making of Jordskott, a Swedish thriller tv-show where I did modeling, texturing, matchmoving, roto masking, composition and morph targets for animation.
When it comes to work I'm very versatile and I find it hard to get bored. I enyoy working with everyday scenery props just as much as I like sculpting out rad looking creatures. I simply love what I do!
I'm also a nice guy to have around the office. I enyoy being surrounded by people for difficult tasks, and see results achievable only through great teamwork!
I can be very flexible when it comes to location of work. I'm open for both freelance and in office positions, and will not hesitate to move to a different country if it is prefered by the employer.
